Finaly some update today. Was quite a heavy year 2008, for sure! Did a lot of shoots with models and worked hard for clients. HeavyDuty on organizing live and work with ups & downs..... so we'll have a fresh start here in 2009. When driving thru Belgium( was getting my 1.2|50mm ) I stumbled uppon this beautiful restaurant. I asked the owner if it was possible for me to have a modelshoot at his place. A half year later we did the shoot. Models here Jess & Vicky. Make-Up by friend and colleague Jan Scherders

I think this is one of amazing beauty in lens-unsharpness. Ofcourse, this is only possible with a firstclass model like Andrea is! No RETOUCH exept for two tiny hairs and one little pick. For tech's f1.4 (50mm x 1,3 for chip)~1/80 @ 400 iso. Someday I'll have a f1.0/50mm... for sure!!

For Tease & Please we did a very intensive shoot. The models were very very great to work with.In shoots like these when there is literarely no fysical distance between the models I as the photographer keep as little distance as possible. In this particular shot it was less then two feet. Some times I even touch the model during shoot push or hold their position the way I want it. It's hard and serious work!

The thing I like about my work is working with models, female model most of the time. I like the way they behave, walk arround you, look at you.... I like the way i let them look at my camera, me in my way of moving arround them... observing them bluntly. Sometimes i try to convince them. Most of the time they convince me... Yes, it's a special breed that needs special care.

New Material in bLUe

I've been experimenting with Raw files in Phase1 to get some extraordinary blues.
The magenta is tweaked in PS. As for the girl, Dafne..., wel nothing to tweak there!!
She's perfect!

Photography & Graphicdesign.

After presenting these pictures and design the magazine wanted me to do a shoot for them.
For this presentation we used just one dress, the one my wife designed and made for her own wedding... guess who's the lucky guy here!! I hope the magazine will hire me on a regular base. It was fun to work with Lisanne and Alexander. Lisanne was scouted by us. Of course, make-up and hair by my wife Monique Veenstra.

And they lived happely ever after!! Many thanks to the City of Eindhoven for their cooperation and their beautifull Court for Marriage.

The new owner of the number 1 and 3 from the series Directors//Cut wants to stay anonymous. I'm honoured te be part of his artcollection. Prints are for inspection at the studio. Our next artist presented by Art-Is-Sjok is Pajere, a belgian painter working nearby Antwerp. His paintings are a mishmash of smaller and bigger parts. In a lyricle way he points with his figures, signs and other elements to nature and the circus of live. The colors are clear, warm and joyfull. The soul of these paintsings show a deep alliance with men, women en child in a peacefull world. As Pajere state's, "My work is alway symbolic, there's a story te tell".Of course, you're all invited! Free entrance from 22.30 till 24.00. And people, beware of the nose.. this guy is sniffing around in buznizz not of his!!
